Welcome to Ohana O Ke Kahawai, a Salem, Oregon outrigger canoe club. Our name means "Family of the River". We are a group of enthusiastic men and women who were brought together by our love of paddling and our beautiful Willamette River.
​
We love the physical and mental challenges of outrigger canoeing together with the art of combining 6 paddlers into one strong and efficient team. We paddle year round on the Willamette River and on nearby lakes and waterways.

We were established in 2021 and are a 501(c)3 non profit sports club. Ohana Hoe is our legal name, now doing business as Ohana O Ke Kahawai.

The portion of the Willamette River that runs through Salem, Oregon offers many miles of natural beauty and wildlife.
The seasonal changes in river speed provide excellent workouts with opportunities for long endurance paddles as well as sprint and technical practices.
